The Anise seeds in this sweet Anis Amazake lend it an additional spice. The taste of Anis and Fennel give the Amazake an elegant Aroma. The Amazake is the perfect basis for icecream or granola and is suitable for sweetening granola, custard, or cake. Dissolved in water, it is also a good addition to all sorts of drinks. On cold winter days, this Amazake can lend a bit of extra spice to warm winter drinks.
It is made by Mimi Ferments, an independent Berlin-based producer of hand fermented soy sauce and miso, using only the finest organic soybeans. Due to the different fermentation times, these products not only develop different colours, but also a variety of unique flavour tones. They are loved and used by many Michelin star chefs and can now become a magic ingredient in your own culinary creations.
