Rice bowl (Hira-chawan) white

Dimensions: ∅15cm x H5.5 cm

Weight: 210g

'HIRA-CHAWAN' (shallow-rice-bowl) is a modern rice-bowl archetype developed by Designer Masahiro Mori in collaboration with Hakusan Porcelain. Compared to the traditional shape which is deep and narrow, the HIRA-CHAWAN's opening is wider and shallower, allowing food to be presented more beautifully. They are perfect not only for serving rice, but also appetizer, small dishes, soup, dessert and so on. It has been awarded with “Good Design Prize” in 1993, and “Long Life Design Prize” in 2004. Because it is hand-painted, the color and thickness of the lines are unique on each bowl.
